hey oraa friends,
instead of oraa dinner in sharples this week, we’re inviting folks from the ED91b Directed Reading group on Asian American Studies and Pedagogy to host a special workshop on “APIA Futures: Reimagining Learning Communities” in Kitao Gallery at 6:30pm, Wednesday 4/27 (yes, tomorrow!!) as always, dinner will be provided <3
come by kitao to hear about what we’ve been up to this semester and take part in some hands-on activities: you can contribute to our collective timeline of asian american history and ethnic studies, flip through zines and even make your own, engage with our student-crafted syllabus and recommended resources, and collaborate with us towards imagining what APIA futures and joy might look—and feel—like. if you’re thinking “i have no idea” right now, us too!! come to kitao on wednesday night and we will figure it out together :’)
if you’re interested in attending, please RSVP by filling out this form ASAP so we can order food for you. spots may fill up since we have limited space and supplies.
excited to see you there!! and hope you are all taking care and finding some time for rest and joy in this last week of classes 🙂
in community, serena
